Schools of Digital Skills
Join An Upcoming Group Class; Virtually or Physically!
In the bid to further our mission of empowering the African youth workforce and consolidating our works of strategically skilling youth to take advantage of the digital economy, we have decided to launch two additional schools—Digital Marketing and Programming—to join the two (Design and Data Science) we launched last year.
It is no doubt that these four skills are very critical and essential to building the company of the future. We need people skilled to research our problems and proffer solutions backed by facts and data. We need people to design how such solutions will look like and how people will react to them. After that we need people skilled enough to build that design into an actual product and we need talents to market and brand these products. Any company built (or will be built) for the future can’t really succeed without these skills and that’s why we are focused on building these next generations of skilled African talents.
The courses are designed to be tutor-led, incorporating peer to peer learning and evaluation. They are highly practical, tailored to industry trends with various capstone projects to measure progress and assimilation. Classes are hosted virtually and physically at different locations (we are starting with Lagos and Ibadan and we’ll keep updating our offline centres as soon as they are available) to help those having challenges with internet access and those who learn faster in group physical environment (we are respecting all COVID-19 guidelines, of course!).
We designed it in such a way that the classes are weekend classes giving people currently in other engagements during the week an opportunity to join. Each school only launches a training campaign in a quarter and learners who missed the group classes can join campaigns in any of the other 3 quarters. The courses for now are designed to be incubatory for learners but functional enough for entry level positions and to help lay proper foundation for later learnings with us or elsewhere. These schools are not in any way meant to replace our personal skill tutoring classes and you can request for a personal tutor from us to learn any digital skills within or outside the scope of these schools anytime and anywhere.
